Class A Truck Driver
Trillium Drivers is now seeking CDL Class A Truck Drivers in Carrollton!
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Schedule is 1st Shift 7am-3pm, 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm, or 3rd Shift 11pm-7am (M-F). Pay is $27.50/hour.
Job Responsibilities:
-Operates company owned and leased vehicles safely while delivering merchandise to customers.
-Assists in loading and unloading merchandise on trucks.
-Operates vehicles safely and in conformance with traffic laws.
-Performs daily operational maintenance and safety checks.
-Reports results and malfunctions of equipment to supervisor.
-Obtains signature upon delivery and pickup tickets and notes any discrepancies.
-Follows assigned scheduling and routing of deliveries, and makes deliveries on time as scheduled.
-Must be capable of learning and operating truck routing software program.
-Follows proper procedures in reporting of accidents.
-May assist in the routing of deliveries
-Must frequently move up to 100 pounds.
-Works in warehouse and city / highway driving conditions.
-Can maneuver in and out of trucks during delivery.
-Follows written and verbal instructions.
-Possesses good communication skills and a pleasant attitude.
-Driving and walking outside in all weather conditions.
-Communicates shortages of merchandise through proper channels to ensure accurate billing.
-Handles stock in a careful and safe manner; conscious of quality and eliminating damage.
-Practices and adheres to established safety rules and policies, as well as, established housekeeping standards.
-Performs equipment safety review.
-Reports any violations or hazards to management immediately.
-Operates assigned warehouse equipment in performing the functions of the job
-Participates in scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory as required.

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
-AS400 system helpful.
-Microsoft Office developing required
-High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience
-One to two years previous warehouse experience in distribution environment desirable
-Experience operating distribution warehouse material handling equipment
-Must have a valid driver’s license
-Must be able safely operate a step-van.
-Requires ability to continually lift, push, pull at least 50 pounds or over of product and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds up to 160 pounds of product using prescribed team lift procedure.
